Exotic food (yummy or yuckie?)

Here in the Philippines, we love eating different kind of food. Today, i introduce you to food that i think you doubt if you want to taste it or not.

Coconut worm

Coconut worm or tatig in Filipino word is the one of the exotic food that found in the coconut tree. This food is tasty and also give a nutrient in our body, it is very healthy side dish and a traditional medicine for minor diseases because it is high in protein and nutrition. Yummy or yuckie?

Rat

This exotic food is called rat or dagang bukid in tagalog. This eatable rat only found in the farm, not include the rat in our house because that is not consider to eat. They only eat rice in the farm that is why there are safe to eat and they called pest. Yummy or yuckie?

Frog

The next food is called frog or palaka in Tagalog word, this food also found in the farm especially when its rainy day or wet season. They have different style to cook this food either its adobo or fried. This also tasty like a meat and give also a nutrient in our body. This food is very low in Saturated Fat, it is also a good source of Thiamin, Riboflavin, Iron, Phosphorus, Potassium and Copper. Yummy or yuckie?

Bugs

This eatable bugs can be seen in the farm or in a grass. This insect are crunchy to eat when its fried and have tasty flavor. Insects are nutritionally-rich, yet very low in calories, which is thought to help combat obesity and related diseases. Insects also contain vitamins and micronutrients, like B12, iron, manganese, and calcium. Yummy or yuckie?

Sauteed Mole Cricket

This last exotic food are also known as Sauteed Mole Cricket or ararawan. This food is popular from the Ilocano people that is found on the land, it can be seen when our farm is cultivating. Consuming crickets can help support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria and that eating crickets is not only safe at high doses but may also reduce inflammation in the body. Yummy or yuckie?
